When Tel Aviv began to rise
When it was built, you could see it from every corner.<\/p>

It was the first, tall, unique and special in the landscape of houses of little Tel Aviv.<\/p>

The gymnasium was destroyed,
and every time I meet a group of tourists \u2014 they demand to understand the reason.<\/p>

Whoever goes inside
will be able to discover \u2014 not everything is gone. The past still lives between the walls.<\/p>

And the surrounding towers are so tall.<\/p>

The first kiosk<\/strong> \u2013 a refreshing drink with a taste of longing<\/p>

The building was small, but a great storm surrounded it:
Would it corrupt morals? Would it encourage extravagance?<\/p>

And yet \u2014 it stood.
In its center was a single sparkling tap,
and a colorful liquid flavored with strawberry, lemon\u2026 or peach,
which was poured into a clear glass cup
and in an instant became everyone\u2019s passion.<\/p>

Thus began an urban custom
that flows through the veins of Tel Aviv to this day.<\/p>

Years passed, the gezoz was replaced by upside-down coffee.
And the kiosk? -still here-on every corner.

Habima<\/strong><\/p>

The lights go out and the show begins\u2014<\/p>

This is how an evening at the Habima Theater begins.<\/p>

The actors pull a thin thread from a cocoon of life,<\/p>

and weave stories from it: sometimes funny, sometimes sad.<\/p>

When the theater was first established, the Hebrew language was the star of the stage<\/p>

because no one in the world had ever experienced a show in such a language.<\/p>

And now, as the curtain falls and we step out into the illuminated arena<\/p>

it seems as if a scene from another act is beginning here.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Culture Square<\/strong><\/p>

Dusk\u2026 In the center of the square is a sunken plaza manicured with ornamental flowers and wild plants, a tribute to the Tel Aviv agricultural-educational farm that once stood here.<\/p>

Children with their parents run around its edges and in it. Boys on bicycles check out \u2018angles and slopes,\u2019 neatly dressed people cross it on their way to a theater performance. On the boulevard opposite, young people drink beer at makeshift tables.<\/p>

I watch the hustle and bustle, and feel how the peace envelops me.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\nFor almost a century, she has wondered what is expected of a city square? To be beautiful? Green? High? Or simply to be happy. She has changed style but has remained loved and surrounded by people non-stop. Sitting in cafes or on the grass, and after a rest, going out to walk the only street whose name has created action.
